Many pets find coming to the Veterinary Hospital a stressful. Here are a few tips to help make it as easy and stress free as possible for both you and your pet.
To keep all our clients safe, we ask that all pets arrive on leash or in a carrier. This ensures no one can accidentally slip out the door. Also, while your pet may enjoy meeting new friends, some pets are shy and not comfortable meeting new pets or people while at the vet.
We understand that sometimes life is busy and things come up. If you are unable to make your appointment or you are running late, let us know so we can best assist you. To ensure you have time to fill out any paperwork and are prepared for your appointment try to arrive a few minutes early. We will do our best to see you on time, or early when possible. However, we ask for your patience if we are running behind due to urgent needs of another pet.
To ensure your pet gets the best care, please provide a complete history. We are all pet owners and we understand that sometimes pets get into things they shouldn't, or we feed them things we shouldn’t. We are not here to judge, we are here to help! So please do not hesitate to fill us in, it may make the difference in providing the most effective treatment.
Your pet will get comfort from having you nearby during their exam, but they will feel most secure being held by our veterinary technicians. Our technicians are trained in the best ways to securely hold your pet so they will not hurt themselves and will remain calm and comfortable.

If at any point you have a question about what we are doing or why we are doing it don't hesitate to ask! We are here for you and we will happily tell you what we are doing. If you are comfortable you pet will be more comfortable.
